Metz has worked extensively with leading healthcare systems and hospitals, provider and payer organizations, vendors and solution providers, and startups and investors. Among his executive positions, he served as Senior Vice President and CIO at Lahey Health, a prominent integrated delivery system in the greater Boston area, and as Vice President and CIO at Thomas Jefferson University, a premier academic medical center in Philadelphia.

As a trusted leader and advisor, Metz specializes in enabling healthcare organizations to accomplish vital goals and achieve competitive advantage by harnessing the power of IT and capitalizing on new opportunities in an evolving digital landscape. He was named to Becker’s Hospital Review “100 Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know” and Computerworld’s “Premier 100 Top IT Leaders.” Metz received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Columbia University, a master’s degree in Organizational Development from New York University, and a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from New York University.
